The time has come. We are celebrating 100 years of God’s faithfulness this weekend. To mark the occasion we have set a “memorial stone” just outside of the door into our educational building. We got the idea for the stone from Joshua 4 where, after crossing the Jordan River, the LORD told Joshua and the people to use the 12 stones He had told them to gather while crossing to make a memorial. God said, “In the future, when your children ask you, ‘What do these stones mean?’ tell them…” It is our desire that future generations be reminded of the faithfulness of our King whenever they enter into Britton Christian Church.
I’ve only been a part of Britton Christian Church for 19 of the 100 years that the church has been in existence, but time and time again I have witnessed the hand of God move in such powerful ways to make a way for us to let His light shine in our community. God has provided for us in every possible way. He has drawn people from every walk of life, from all over the city, to come together for the singular purpose of bringing glory and honor to His name. It is my prayer that the next 100 years will be brighter still as we seek to honor the Lord. I hope you will join us this weekend as we celebrate God’s faithfulness to us as a church and a people.
In His Steps,
