Thank you for praying for this group of young people as they explored God’s creation in beautiful Colorado! We had the opportunity to disconnect from the grid and connect with each other. Moreover, we learned about a Christian discipline that is pivotal for mature believers: SOLITUDE. Jesus got away to connect with His Father, and we too had time this past week to connect with THE VINE.

It was a GREAT first day of SOCCER CAMP! Close to forty students practiced on the basics in soccer and in LIFE. Coach Irvin helped everyone remember the importance of verbal edification (Ephesians 4:29) on and off the field…even when it’s hot!
Thanks Coach Irvin, Jessica, Danny, Sonny, James, Bakwish & Carlos for being a HUGE blessing!
It’s not too late to sign up! Camp goes from 4:30-7:30 p.m. today thru Saturday!
I hope you were able to be in worship this morning and hear all of the great stories from our kid’s time at Kids Across America. If you happened to miss it then I want to share the highlight video with you. Thanks so much for all of your support in making this trip possible for our kids for more than 20 years now! Once you start the video click full screen to get the big picture! Enjoy!
In His Steps,
“Therefore, my brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” -1 Corinthians 15:58
It sure was a blessing being with Grams and the rest of my family over Thanksgiving. Our family knows Grams is coming to the end of her life, so we decided to put together an appreciation video in her honor. Each family member was asked to answer the following question: “How has Grams’ legacy lived through you?”
Tonight is Senior Night for ShaBryan Baker and the rest of the Oklahoma Centennial Football Team. It may be ShaBryan’s last game; however, his memory will definitely live on! Why? Because he is a Man of Consistency on the football field. Being one of only five seniors on the team, ShaBryan has showed his character and commitment level despite the hard season. Many players have given up over the season, but not ShaBryan. He has stuck it out for four years now and he continues to show his teammates how to properly respond to adversity. Thank you ShaBryan Baker for Shining Bright for God’s glory! Your church family is so proud of you!
Seniors will be honored around 6:30 tonight at Taft Stadium (near 23rd & May). Kickoff is at 7:00 against Kingfisher.
These fellas know the importance of being stretched, both literally and figuratively. Stretching the arms and legs is essential for these young people because the coaches at the BCC Tennis Academy expect everyone to go all out at the OKC Tennis Center. Even though tennis is new to many of the thirty-plus BCC students, they are all nonetheless challenged to work hard at the game of tennis. And it’s all worth because the game is a blast and it teaches them how to tangibly work out their faith. Last Sunday, besides learning how to hit a forehand and backhand, our students learned how to “stretch” themselves for God’s glory on and off the court. For instance, they learned the importance of loving their enemies and blessing those who curse them (Luke 6:27-31). Following God in this manner is tough, on and off the court, but our kids are definitely up to the challenge.
These gals received the GOLD BALL AWARD for displaying Christ-like characteristics on the court. Great job ladies!
