Have you ever been left out of a group? How did it feel to be left out?
Have you ever been made to feel like you didn’t belong to a group that you were in? How long did you stay in that group? Read more
Last week we wrapped up our K-Group focus on authentic community. This week we have been concentrating on what it means to TRULY worship our God. I am convinced that we cannot worship God Biblically if we are not in fellowship with His people.
I came across this powerful video which reminds me (and hopefully you) of one of the major reasons we have a ministry such as K-Groups. LOVE GOD. LOVE OTHERS. Your life depends on it!

It was a pretty somber day. The hopes and dreams for liberation had come to an end. For three years they had witnessed His authority and they had even experienced His power. He was so influential that He was able to convince them to leave their family trades. In exchange, they could potentially be abandoned by their families, possibly imprisoned, maybe – if they were lucky – they would be martyred? They thought He was the One. They expected Him to free them from the tyranny of Rome, but He was murdered like all the rest. If it could happen to Him, it could happen to anyone. And so, as they hunkered down in a room behind locked doors, in fear for their lives, they contemplated – “What next?” Who’s going to rise to take up the cause? Well, fast forward to the book of Acts.
The Book of Acts paints a totally different picture of the apostles and early followers of Jesus than what we find in the gospels. Read more
At the beginning of each year people challenge themselves in all sorts of ways. Resolutions are being made to eat healthier, to be better parents, to read a certain number of books a month, to make better choices about relationships, and the list goes on and on. As the new semester of K-Groups approaches, I’d like you to consider taking a challenge as a church.
The 30 Day Church Challenge is a “multi-tiered discipleship program.” This powerful campaign will challenge church members to:
SO! Who’s up for the challenge?
Are you reaching your God-given potential?
Are you ready for more out of your church attendance?
What does your life look like in the areas of: Community, Worship, Spiritual Growth, Stewardship, and Outreach?
Are your strengths being sufficiently utilized by the church? What are your strengths?
Join a K-Group today and get ready for the Challenge of your life! Church isn’t a building! It’s a Body of committed followers of Jesus who are filled with His Spirit, to do His work, for His glory, that His name be lifted up so that He can save the lost and equip them to serve.

1 Corinthians 12:4-7
4 There are different kinds of gifts. But they are all given by the same Spirit.5 There are different ways to serve. But they all come from the same Lord.6 There are different ways to work. But the same God makes it possible for all of us to have all those different things. 7 The Holy Spirit is given to each of us in a special way. That is for the good of all.
God has equipped you to serve His people!
Prayerfully consider using your gifts to minister to BCC by HOSTING or FACILITATING a K-Group in the coming semester. The new semester kicks off on January 11th with a large group gathering at BCC and a leader’s meeting.
“…You’ve also got to have a weekly small group. Nobody has a complete perspective on life. Every one of us has blinders on. The people in your small group can see things in your life you can’t see. That’s why we need each other! You learn from the people in your small group as you encourage each other and your roots go deeper” (emphasis added).
We are looking to introduce several NEW group options for connecting our church at the heart!

And DON’T wait until New Years to resolve to change!
BCC has the gift that keeps on giving!
All you have to do is receive it!
I’m talking about the gift of community!
Every week K-Groups meet, throughout Oklahoma City and Edmond, building community among the people of God right here at BCC! This semester is almost over, but you can still enjoy the gift.
On January 11th, 2015 we will begin our new semester of K-Groups. I STRONGLY encourage and invite you to JOIN A K-GROUP!! There are groups for ALL AGES! If you can’t find the “right” group to be a part of – maybe God is calling you to start a new one.
Think about this way, if for some odd reason BCC lost its building, it would not loose its impact in the community nor its influence upon the people of God! Because the church is meeting in people’s homes!
Acts 2 and Acts 4 remind us of the importance and value of a community of Believers who are committed to the call of God to be a light in the darkness spurring each other on to good works!
I’d LOVE for you to connect with us! Give yourself the gift of community! And, invite someone else to enjoy that gift with you!
